An Old Paper Snowman From Germany

We've been collecting Christmas ornaments for years and it's always fun find a new treasure.  This is a pressed cardboard snowman from Germany, with his bird friend and his broom.

Old German Santa Claus Candy Container

 

This is one Christmas decoration we keep out all year ~ it's circa 1890, from Germany.  It's an old Santa Claus candy container, about 15 inches tall, still in it's original clothes, with a rope belt and string holding together one shoe.

Vintage Christmas Tree Stands

 

My mom's been collecting vintage Christmas goods for decades now.  I thought you might enjoy seeing a few of her cast metal Christmas tree stands.

 

They came in so many sizes and styles, with pine cones and stars being popular motifs.  Most were made in either Germany or the USA.

 

Some have rust and have lost some of their color, but I think that just adds to their charm.   This is just of tip of the tree stand iceberg!

Vintage Millinery Daisies From Japan

We can never pass by vintage millinery old store stock, be it leaves by the gross, bundles of flowers or bunches of stamen. These yellow fabric daisies were handmade in Japan in the 1950s and are ready to be incorporated into a hat band, headband, floral bouquet, Easter basket or ornament, scrapbook page, greeting card - or enjoyed just as they are! Create Your Own Gingerbread or Putz Glitter House

 

We're delighted to offer these wonderful blank, die cut paper houses for you to decorate as gingerbread houses or putz glitter houses.  

Made of sturdy paper, punch out the die cut shapes, fold along score lines, line windows with red cellophane and glue at seams.  Next decorate with paint, glitter, mica, dresden trims and bottle brush trees.  Or decorate with gingerbread, graham crackers, frosting and various candies to create a classic gingerbread house.  Our import from Germany.
