Today was an Easter to remember for a rather unusual reason: a 7.2 earthquake centered in Baja California south of Mexicali gave us quite a good and long shake in the afternoon. Ironically, the quake was at a latitude of 32 Degrees North!
Otherwise we had a nice quiet Easter with splendid weather and good company. Here's a mosaic with flowers from the garden as well as flowers and textures that appear on some of my favorite inside pieces.
Hope you all had a wonderful Easter!
Be sure to visit Mary over at Little Red House for more mosaics!
Wow, what an eventful Easter. The vases in the mosaic would look wonderful without flowers, they are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty mosaic. Glad everything is okay.
ReplyDeleteLovely mosaic.
ReplyDeleteWere you as calm at the time as you sound now! Lovely mixture in your mosaic. Here's mine
ReplyDeleteSo very, VERY glad all is well where you are, Amanda... I was wondering how you were! So glad you had just a shake-up and nothing worse... whew... Such floral delight today--beautiful! Happy week, my friend :o) ((HUGS))
ReplyDeleteWow...lovely floral images! Your mosaic is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteHappy Mosaic Monday!

Glad to see you are okay. It must be unnerving to have the earth move that way. Lovely mosiac with all those bright colours. Valerie
ReplyDeleteCool mosaic. Love the flower vases, they are lovely & colorful that make us gay!
ReplyDeleteHappy Day!
Thanks for visiting my blog. Glad you were ok yesterday during the big rumble.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous Mosaic, and I am glad to hear you where not affected by the quake!~that is scary!
ReplyDeleteI heard about the earthquake, that must have been a worry. I love your mosaic, it is a sure sign that you are a designer, I love the texture and colors you designed.

Lovin' all the textures you've captured in this mosaic, especially the tiny leaves of the "baby's tears". Did you see Tyra's post about it?

Another beautiful mosaic, Amanda! Happy you were able to enjoy your Easter with just a rumble. Kind of scary though.
ReplyDeleteYour embroideries are really cute! I just finished a stitching along and picked up a pillowcase that I started ages ago. I think I'll add our newest granddaughters name and make it for her.
Nice stopping by!
Kindly, ldh
I'm sorry you got shaken, and the latitude is very spooky. But of course, am relieved you suffered no damage.
ReplyDeleteGoodness, what pretty flowers and pots! Thank you for your visit! Cathy
ReplyDeleteAmanda I heard today that there was a lot of shaking going on in CA!
ReplyDeleteLove your mosaic..I too collect pieces with Botanical appeal!
oh my goodness...I just looked at your paper mache Easter eggs from Germany. Those are such a favorite of mine. I collected some when we were there and have hidden them from the kids until they are a bit older...they are just too precious to be squashed in a moment's time. Love them!
ReplyDeleteWhat a bizarre coincidence! Glad you're all okay (just a little shaken). Love the plate and other ceramic items. Glad you liked my "grid" mosaic. I love blues, too.
ReplyDeleteI like the combination of china and flowers. Cool mosaic!
