Here's a shot from the front door looking west on a particularly fiery evening. It's always amazing how fast a sunset changes its colors -- this bright sky lasted for mere minutes.

Christmastime brought a new waterproof camera, and weather in the 70s with minimal waves provided a perfect opportunity to try it out. That's me taking my turn stand up paddle surfing into the camera with the late afternoon sun casting a few shadows.
Winter is definitely right around the corner, even here in Southern California. On the particularly chilly days I dream of our Santa Ana days where temperatures will climb into the 80s and lure us outside for a stand up paddle.
