Cityscapes

Sometimes I'm guilty of taking photos then leaving them in the camera for ages.  Today I discovered this group from a visit north to the city a few weeks ago.

Being up several floors in a semi-old building gave a great view of other buildings.  I remember being quite taken with some of the intricacies of the older structures.

See the empty streets?  We were up there pretty early in the morning.  On our way out mid-day the streets were a buzz with both cars and pedestrians.

Spring Cleaning

Our run of sunshine for the last few days has everyone in chipper spirits, including these two sparrows. We happened to be in the yard photographing something else but turned our attention to the bird bath when we heard quite a commotion of happy chirping and splashing.

Usually these little guys have a sixth sense and make a hasty retreat before the camera is even totally pointed in their direction. Today though it was all about the bath.

Autumn Moon

Crystal clear weather led us down to the beach this evening to shoot a few surfing pictures. Little did we know, this one of the moon would turn out to be the real gem. Click to enlarge and you'll see pits and craters, shadows and texture galore. It seems so close!
