Vintage Christmas Photos Part III: Christmas For All

The District Jail in Washington, D.C. didn't scrimp when it came to decorating for the holidays. This circa 1909-1932 photograph shows the inmates gathered around their Christmas tree.

  1. They had a tree... that is wonderful! And a huge one too... Is that ONE strand of garland around the tree's middle there? Presents too--yes! Makes a holiday inside feel cozier are least... Sad, but cozier maybe. Very interesting photo. Happy Day, my friend ((HUGS))
