A few days ago Geninne blogged a free embroidery pattern: a line drawing of one of her darling birds. I couldn't resist transferring him to a vintage style cotton tea towel and getting to work.
I tried to choose colors to go with the side stripes without being too matchy-matchy.

A great design, stitched beautifully! 19th century designer William Morris would be proud of you - he said that possessions should either be useful or beautiful and in this case, your towel is both!

ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful towel. Iv;e stitched on this kind of towel before and the edges are so wrinkly. Do you ever have this problem?
